Pricing Guide

Pricing your items and animals ahead of time makes everything smoother for you and your customers.

Pro Pricing Tips

  1. Price everything before you arrive.

  2. For used items, start with the one-third rule (if you paid $100 new, price around $30–$35 used).

  3. Assume shoppers will haggle — price slightly higher than your bottom line.

  4. Price each item individually or use clear group signs (e.g., “Laying Hens – $20 each”).

  5. Use bright stickers or big signs — especially for larger items.

  6. Offer bulk deals (e.g., “6 hens for $100”).

  7. Keep prices simple and easy to read.

  8. For handmade items, check online pricing guides for formulas.

Clear pricing = more sales and less stress. Shoppers hate guessing!
