Vendors – Tips & Tricks

These are community events — come prepared and you’ll have the best experience!

What to Bring

  • Your own table, chair(s), blanket, and canopy/tent (we provide nothing).

  • Signage with prices and/or trade values clearly displayed.

  • No Power Available to plan accordingly for chicks needing heat!

  • Envelopes, bags, labels, business cards, calculator, notebook & pen.

  • Hand sanitizer, sunscreen, drinking water, and comfortable shoes.

  • Garbage can or bags to haul away your own trash.

  • For animals: food/water containers, shade, bedding, crates/carriers, and restraints.

  • Cash, change, and a card reader for sales.

  • Business Cards/Contact Cards for each animal you sell so new owner can reach out with questions.

Booth Setup Tips

  • Arrive on time and set up quickly — first come, first served.

  • Keep your footprint within your assigned space.

  • Make your display inviting and easy to browse.

  • Bring a helper if you want to shop yourself.

Getting Ready Before the Event

  • Price or assign trade values to everything ahead of time and make clear signs.

  • Pack the night before and make a checklist.

  • Post in the event group about what you’re bringing or looking for.

Pro Tips

  • Bring a mind open to bartering and swapping!

  • Label everything clearly — shoppers appreciate it.

  • Be ready to haggle (price slightly high if you’re open to offers).
