Shopping Guide

Buyer Beware

This is a community Buyer Beware market. Inspect animals and items carefully. There is no on-site vet or registration. Educate yourself on housing, feed, and care before buying. Most vendors do not take animals back. Quarantine new animals when you get home.

How to Be a Savvy Shopper

  • Arrive early for the best selection.

  • Bring proper carriers/boxes for animals.

  • Carpool if possible — parking can fill up.

  • Get contact info from vendors for follow-up questions.

What Questions to Ask Vendors

  • Health history and recent vet care?

  • Age, breed, and temperament?

  • Feeding and housing requirements?

  • Any guarantees or return policy?

  • Proof of vaccinations (for dogs/puppies)?

What to Bring

  • Cash (small bills) and a card reader if you accept cards.

  • Notebook and pen (or phone) to jot down notes and contacts.

  • Reusable bags and animal carriers/boxes.

  • Comfortable shoes, hand sanitizer, bottled water.

  • Kids are welcome — it’s family-friendly!

  • An open mind for great swaps and deals.

Have fun and shop responsibly!
